It was a fantastic day for Sunday Brunch on the Lake!
The breakfast items that we had were pretty good! My Crab & Spinach Omelet was savory and wonderful despite the fact that I ask for American Cheese and they gave me cheddar..
No bread/toast was offered with the meal..
The other meal at the table was a Eggs Benedict. The eggs were over-cooked and not runny as would be the case for a REAL Eggs Benedict but my guest enjoyed them nonetheless.
The bottomless Bloody Mary was a complete hit; the Mimosas, not so much. Cheap Champagne must have been used. Overall, I would go back. Bon Appetit!!! -

I came here for brunch last Sunday with two of my besties for the bottomless mimosas. We decided to come here because of the beautiful view and obviously the drinks despite having an overall 3.5 star rating (there were plenty of other brunch options in Oakland, but most didn't have the bottomless option). We arrived at around noon, and there was a line. It seemed weird to me that they had us wait at the bar, even though there were tables open, but what do I know? They did allow us to start drinking our mimosas while we waited. I think it took about 30-45 minutes for them to actually seat us.
Now, let's get to the food. We ordered the Eggs Florentine with country potatoes. While we had been drinking a while, the food took FOREVER! When the food finally came, they served it to us with freaking french fries. WTF????????? When we asked about it all they said was they were out and that the only other option unless we wanted salad or fruit. WHAT BRUNCH PLACE RUNS OUT OF COUNTRY POTATOES AROUND 1PM ON A SUNDAY?!?!?!??!?! We were highly disappointed. the Eggs Florentine was good, but I definitely wasn't satisfied since they were paired with french fries. We might as well have had a burger. Going to still go with the 3 stars for the mimosas, but I probably won't be back. Service was lacking communication on all ends. -

Bottomless and Benedict's
Bottomless is always a win in my book, and then adding good food to accompany it completes the experience for me.
I decided to stray away from my usual and go with the smoked Salmon Benedict, and I was not disappointed. The hollandaise sauce was so good I almost asked for an additional side of it for my potatoes.
Can definitely see myself coming back here the next time I'm in the area to enjoy another breakfast/brunch with that great view over looking the lake. -

Not only do you get a beautiful view of Lake Merritt but the breakfast is great also! I would recommend getting a reservations particularly on Sundays since they close at 2 PM. Nice staff as well that are accommodating. If you want to ask for something to be modified they'd do it. Bread is great that comes out before the food. My fav is the veggie omelette with potatoes on the side. Parking is a challenge sometimes, if you're close it's better to walk, if not, give yourself enough time to find parking.

First I waited for somebody to take my order for around 10 mins. The service is terrible. Nobody really cares and everything is slow. It took around 30 minutes just to get my orders. The menu is very small. That would be ok if the quality of food was ok. But my NY steak was enormously chewy, with unmelted fat.
I loved the view. This could be a wonderful spot if there was any music, atmosphere or good kitchen. Maybe I'm wrong or got here in a wrong day, but I'd you want to enjoy the lake I'd rather go to Lake Chalet. It's so much better! The pricing is quite similar
